Brain Dead is hitting the rocks. The Los Angeles streetwear label has its hand in plenty of different subcultures, with a movie theater and event space hub for cinephiles, bowling shoes, tennis shoes, and more. The brand’s last sneaker collab mixed soccer and street themes with an adidas Predator boot. Now, Brain Dead is ready for another facet of the great outdoors: rock climbing.

The Brain Dead x adidas Five Ten Pack features two pairs from the adidas Five Ten line, the Three Stripes’ outdoor exploration sublabel that includes biking, climbing, hiking, and more. The Brain Dead team pulled out the Guide Tennie Approach and the Niad for the occasion, creating a complete collection for hiking to base camp and climbing straight up the wall.
On the Guide Tennie Approach, the Brain Dead team starts with rugged, slick black on the toe and heel, but adds some perfect rocky color on the mauve purple suede upper and a brown mesh base. Teal pops on the sockliner and laces, with deep purple on the tongue and heel pull tabs. The Niad is a scrunched-up silhouette with the same tough, grippy black toe and a teal hairy suede upper.
