In tennis, the whole point of the game is to keep the ball inside the lines. Los Angeles streetwear label and creative studio Brain Dead has never been afraid to paint outside the lines. Taking tennis as its latest opportunity for sporting reinvention, Brain Dead linked back up with adidas for two takes on the Barricade 13 performance tennis shoe.

The Brain Dead x adidas Barricade 13 pack features the court-ready sneaker in Y2K silver and mesh, and a second pair wearing a fuzzy sweater of hairy suede. The silver colorway weaves shades of grey across the tough tread medial toe, the toebox, and the side panels, with a bright silver metallic arch support, plus brown and yellow accents on the lace loops and ankle collar for some of Brain Dead’s typical granola vibes and hiking influence.

On the second pair, the technically advanced shoe gets a cozy makeover with red suede across the upper, spotted with blue fibers falling in every direction. The Three Stripes, lace panel, and tongue are all white, the toe protection and laces are black, and the midsole gets the same metallic support on top of a clear outsole.
