Bowling is still an underrated subculture in the sneaker and sportswear industry. The blue-collar answer to golf has been back in a major way lately, with the PBA getting its own Drive To Survive-style documentary series on HBO and bowling ball companies releasing new balls like sneaker brands drop colorways. On the shoe side, bowlers have their own exclusive colorways from an ongoing partnership between Brain Dead and adidas.
Brain Dead Bowling
The Brain Dead x adidas Samba Bowling Pack features two animal print takes on an old-school bowling shoe, adding a raised heel and reshaped toe design with shiny black leather running down the middle of each pair to match the black leather heel tabs. Unlike modern bowling shoes with swappable soles for environmental adjustments, the Brain Dead collab keeps it retro with a fixed sole and heel.
