The University of North Carolina goes with Jordan Brand just as much as the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan’s alma mater, he continues to show them love by lacing the team with the latest retros and even special player exclusive’s. For all of us not connected, Jordan Brand has been giving us UNC-themed retros to hold us down. Following the Air Jordan 6 Retro released earlier this year, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” is on the way for Spring 2023.
Taking cues from past versions, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” comes in a Tar Heel-themed university blue, black, and white. The sneaker boasts an all university blue nubuck leather upper. Black accents the midsole/outsole combo which features a white flame more university blue via the speckles. Icy blue translucent hits on the outsole are finished off by 3M reflective detailing on the tongue and a custom university themed patch on the back heel, like the one seen on the AJ 6.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro UNC is set to release in March 2023. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $225.
