Even Jordan Brand has to acknowledge him. After a myriad of mix-ups surrounding the Air Jordan 12 Retro Bloodline, being leaked in 2024 with an original 2025 release date and subsequent shelving, the sneaker’s release is imminent. While the sneaker isn’t tied to Roman Reigns, fans have connected the colorway with the Tribal Chief since its initial leaks.
The “bloodline” title refers to the Jordan heritage and the legacy of the red and black pairing, first seen in 2019 with an Air Jordan 1 colorway, though obviously, you can connect the name to Roman and his wrestling dynasty. With Reigns' penchant for wearing Jordans in the ring, Jordan Brand laced him up with the first pair of the upcoming colorway, which he was gifted backstage during WrestleMania 42 and later debuted on Monday Night Raw.
After being on the ropes for nearly a year, official images of the Air Jordan 12 Retro Bloodline are tagging in ahead of the release. You can never go wrong with a Bred colorway, and the Bloodline variant goes for a subtle look, the opposite of the Head of the Table’s visceral style in the ring. The silhouette employs a mostly black coloration over its tumbled leather and faux reptile skin upper with red accents highlighting the important details.

The metal eyelets and Jumpman-branded tag on the midfoot get dressed in a metallic shade of red, while the 23 on the heel and the Jumpman logo on the toe get a standard shade of Bulls red. Cementing this as a more premium take on the legendary sneaker is the leather heel tab with Jordan stamped on it. Completing the look is a solid black outsole underfoot.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Bloodline will be released May 23, 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the price is set at $215 and $155, respectively. For all the latest Air Jordan news and release info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
