The WWE universe almost universally agreed that night one of WrestleMania 42 was a letdown, but with Roman Reigns set to headline night two, of course, the Tribal Chief stepped in and saved WrestleMania. His main event match with CM Punk, marking the first time Punk headlined the event, was a banger through and through. No gimmicks of celebrities like Jellyroll or Pat McAfee stepping in (sorry, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton), just straight-up wrestling and letting Punk and Reigns show off their talent for the crowd in Vegas and the fans at home. Giving Roman that extra push to help capture the World Heavyweight title once again was his fam at Jordan Brand.

Ahead of night two of WrestleMania 42, Reigns posted to his Instagram to show his latest gift from MJ’s label, hand-delivered by Reggie Saunders, VP of entertainment marketing at Jordan Brand. The all-new Air Jordan 12 Retro Bloodline, which, unfortunately, is not a collaboration with Roman Reigns’ wrestling faction, was handed to Roman by Saunders.

We got our first look at the upcoming release a few weeks back, with the pair perfectly matching Roman Reigns’ black-and-red merch and aligning with other Bloodline Jordan releases. Previously, the Air Jordan 1 High received a color scheme under this banner, as well as Luka Doncic’s Luka 4 and Luka .77 sneakers.

With his size 15 Jordan 12s secured, Reigns was also given some in-ring gear from the team at Jordan Brand. Unlike his WrestleMania 40 care package from Jordan Brand, which featured custom Air Reigns apparel and Air Jordan 11 Bred-inspired wrestling boots, Jordan only worked on his boots this time around. Again taking inspo from the AJ 11, the pair features a black and gold color combo that matches his gloves and the gold hardware sitting around his waist.

After taking the title from Punk, Reigns spoke to the WWE in a post-match interview, promising, “All this part-time crap. We’re gonna fix that.” Roman spent years grinding in the WWE to get to the position he’s in, and after some health scares and a period of time holding the whole business on his back, he’s taken a step back.

But now that he’s potentially attempting to become a full-timer once again, we should expect to see sneaker moments from Reigns much more frequently. For more updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
