The NMD S1 has had one helluva year. Following the release of collaborations with Philllllthy and RIMOWA and more projects with Pharrell Williams on the way, we're now taking our very first look at the adidas NMD S1 "Core Black Altered Blue." One of the latest colorways to hit the German sportswear label's Nomad silhouette, if for whatever reason you still don't have a pair in your daily rotation, then this has been made just for you.

Crafted from a sock-like Primeknit upper that's both snug and supportive, the NMD S1 is painted in a stealthy core black color scheme. Monofilament mesh paneling adorns the lateral and medial sidewalls complete with Three Stripe branding, and thick rope laces tie everything together. Of course, the main reason that everyone loves the NMD S1 so much is because of what's underfoot. Sitting on top of a chunky bed of Boost, the midsole is housed within a translucent unit and accented with altered blue hues that give off serious TRON vibes. This is then finished off with a series of Trefoil logos down below, nodding to retro models like the Marathon TR from the '70s.

Coming in a special edition shoebox, the adidas NMD S1 Core Black Altered Blue will release on December 14th, 2022 in men's sizes for $180 at adidas, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers both online and in-store. More colorways are expected to be unveiled over the coming months, so make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App to find out everything that you need to know!
