Vans Continues Chanel Tribute Old Skool Souvenir Pack with Oatmeal Colorway for 2026

High fashion is fully intertwined with the sneaker industry these days, but there’s still some space left for the shoe world to stand out with its tried and true method of flattery by way of imitation. Vans had an unexpected hit earlier this year with an Old Skool colorway made to look like a classic Chanel bag, and now, after a sequel this fall, the SoCal skate shoe brand is returning to the theme in 2026.

The Vans Premium Old Skool 36 Souvenir Oatmeal takes on the look of the 2015 Chanel On the Pavements Messenger Bag, with a distressed canvas upper interrupted by a multi-color thread swoop logo across the side panels, just like the thread logo on the Chanel bags. Also like the Chanel bags, the shoes are adorned with a set of custom buttons, including a checkerboard, “I Heart Vans,” Vans smiley face, and more.

On the first Vans Old Skool Souvenir colorway, the company used a warm brown tie-dye, followed by a burgundy tie-dye with black leather accents on the toe, lace panel, and heel. This time around, the toe, lace panel, and heel are also done in leather, but the color remains consistent with the distressed canvas on the side panels. The midsole also gets a pre-worn, distressed look just like the Chanel bag.
