The Vans Old Skool is just a name, but sometimes it also describes the shoe itself. While SoCal’s OG skate shoe brand continues to make waves on the street with collections of luxury-influenced aesthetics and jewelry store accessories, the latest pair of Old Skools takes it back to the originators of plaid.
The Harris Tweed x Vans Old Skool 36 is the latest collaboration between Vans and the Scottish fabric maker, following a collection of plaid Authentics last summer. On the Old Skool collab, Vans keeps the recent bejeweled theme from other OTW pairs, but coats the upper paneling in Scottish tweed.

Starting with navy blue leather on the toebox, lace panel, and heel, the rest of the upper is covered in tonal blue plaid with brown and green accents. Vans continues the jewelry trend with multi-color studs running along the stripe logo, silver spike studs on the heel for some punk energy, and bright pink decorative darning stitches on the side panel and toebox. Lastly, a Harris Tweed collab logo is added to the tongue.
The Harris Tweed x Vans Old Skool 36 will be released Fall 2026 through Vans and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest Vans news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
