De’Aaron Fox has not stepped onto the court for the Spurs this pre-season. While the NBA world debates whether Wemby has sprung up to an unreal 7’7” during his off-season spent bulking up and paling around with monks, Fox has been recovering from a hamstring injury and is expected to miss the start of the regular season. In the meantime, the speedy point guard is locked in on recovery, but with plenty of downtime to play video games.
The latest colorway of the Under Armour Curry Fox 2 is dubbed the Gamer, a tribute to Fox’s second life on the sticks as a serious COD streamer with more than 50k Twitch subscribers. Starting with a black base across the mesh toebox and protective synthetic side panels, the forefoot strap is shiny black patent leather with a pink outline on the fox logo sitting front and center. The shoe adds most of its color to the midsole and toe, featuring a bright gradient that transitions from blue at the front to pink, orange, yellow, and eventually, green at the heel. The green is added to the heel logo and a pair of two-tone black and slime laces.
This isn’t the first time Fox has brought his love for gaming to his signature sneaker line. The UA Curry Fox 1 also featured a Gamer colorway that kept the black base, but traded the multi-color accents for shiny silver hits that fit well with Fox’s Spurs jersey. Designed for Swipa’s speed-based playing style, the Fox 2 is packed with stability-enhancing tech, including a TPE-blended sockliner and a 3D-molded TPU heel counter for secure, full-foot lockdown.
The Under Armour Curry Fox 2 Gamer will be released October 24, 2025 through Under Armour and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and grade school sizes, the retail prices are set at $120 and $90, respectively.
