Professional wrestling has had plenty of sneaker moments throughout its decades-long history, but true collaborations between the two worlds have been rare. In recent years, AEW—the biggest competitor to WWE—has launched multiple projects with Reebok, beginning with a Reebok Pump Omni II for The Young Bucks, followed by a Reebok Classic Leather in tribute to the late Brodie Lee. Swerve Strickland is now receiving his colorway of Allen Iverson’s Reebok Answer 3.
Swerve takes inspiration from the ring gear he wore at AEW Dynasty in 2024—the same event where he ended Samoa Joe’s reign to become the first African-American AEW World Champion—for the design and color palette of his Reebok Answer 3. Strickland’s gear, inspired by Killmonger, featured a black and gold suit with faux cheetah print details. That look is directly translated onto the Answer 3, with the base layer adopting the exotic print and gold accents lining parts of the leather eyelets and midfoot overlay.
A portrait of Strickland is added to the lateral heel, while the tongue tag displays his catchphrase, “Whose House?” Inside, the sockliner and tongue liner come in a black, white, and grey camo, while the interior of the tongue displays the text “Big Pressure,” a nod to Swerve’s entrance music. Finishing the sneaker is the white and gold Answer 3 midsole with Swerve branding replacing the DMX logo near the toe and a tonal rubber outsole.
