Even after LaMelo Ball and Puma introduce new updates to the Puma MB lineup of performance basketball sneakers, they aren’t afraid to revisit older silhouettes in new colors. Now, onto the fourth iteration, the MB.04; this latest entry into the series has been the focal point over the last few months. However, LaMelo is revisiting the MB.03 to create an homage to his mother, Tina Ball, on her birthday.
The silhouette, coated in pink and garnet shades, features the standard MB.03 construction with a mesh base visible via scratch details along the upper. Above this mesh sits a swirled, marbled suede in varying pink and garnet hues, contrasting the pink shades on the tongue, lace set, sockliner, and heel tab. Iridescent details are placed on the phoenix logo along the pink tongue and on the “mama” text on the top of the tongue.
