Sabrina Ionescu is Bay Area like Hyphy and Haight-Ashbury. The New York Liberty star is a West Coaster at heart, born and raised in the Oakland suburb of Walnut Creek before heading north up to the Pacific Coast to Oregon for college. Ionescu still returns home to the Bay every offseason, and the Golden State Valkyrie haven’t been shy about their pursuit of the hometown sharp shooter during this winter’s free agency.
The latest colorway of the Nike Sabrina 3, dubbed Walnut, is a multi-color kids' exclusive that calls back to Ionescu’s own childhood with the Walnut Creek reference in the name. The colorway is a mix of sapphire blue and purple, with royal tones covering the toe and heel, and teal blue on the side panels. The tongue is black for a bit of dark contrast, and the side panel Swoosh and “S” tongue logos are gold.
A kids vibe is added at the bottom of the laces with a three-bead friendship-style string, one Sabrina’s “S” logo on one, a Nike Swoosh on the next, and Sabrina’s jersey number, 20, on the third. As we look forward to the debut of the Sabrina 4 in 2026, the Sabrina 3 has continued to drop in a steady run of bright, kid-friendly colors, and this pair is up there with some of the best youth pairs all year.
