We are in the throes of a global running obsession. Run clubs, Strava, and an endless stream of striding streetwear brands have created a creative class that can’t get enough of stacked midsoles and breathable mesh. From the runway to the track, running is hotter than ever, turning Nike’s standard new silhouette rollouts into an even bigger event than usual.
The Nike Pegasus Plus 2 is the latest advancement in running technology out of Beaverton’s racing lab, bringing The Swoosh’s top-tier cushioning and energy return systems to a new silhouette. Combining a curved Air Zoom bubble in the forefoot with a stack of ZoomX foam in the heel, the Pegasus Plus 2 features a thin, breathable mesh upper to match with large hole perforations in the middle of the side panels.

For its debut colorway, Nike is making sure the Pegasus Plus 2 stands out, giving it a mostly monochrome makeup in Flash Crimson. The hot pinkish red shade covers most of the upper and the massive midsole, with black tint on the outsole, tongue, and lace panel accents. The Swoosh switches to silver for a metallic shine, but at the end of the day, it's the Flash Crimson that steals the show.
The Nike Pegasus Plus 2 Flash Crimson will be released Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For more updates on the Nike Pegasus lineup and the latest from Nike Running, download the Sole Retriever App.
