It’s still the middle of summer, but sneaker brands don’t wait until the holiday season to gear up for next year. At Nike, the team is already looking ahead to summer 2027 with a new slate of retro revivals from some of the brand’s favorite bygone basketball shoes. Joining Gary Payton’s Zoom Flight The Glove, Nike is bringing back Jason Kidd’s Zoom Flight V for its own modern revival.
Kidd, who recently departed his job as the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, entered the league as a Mav in 1994, where he instantly made an impact and caught the eye of decision-makers at Nike. Three years later, Kidd had his own signature shoe at The Swoosh, debuting the Zoom Flight V in a line of OG colorways made to match his Mavericks jersey, even though he was traded to the Suns during the ‘97 season.
Now, with more bad timing for Kidd’s Mavericks relationship, the original Nike Zoom Flight V colorways are coming back for a new run as lifestyle kicks next summer, starting with a White Midnight Navy pair. Featuring a white leather upper, the navy blue hits on the support panels running along the lower section of the shoe and the sockliner, with a holographic multi-color blue jewel shining on the side panel.
According to leaked news from @zSneakerHeadz, the Nike Zoom Flight V White Midnight Navy will be released Summer 2027 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For all the latest Nike retro news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
