Nike’s Mind 002 Sneaker is Built to Alter Your Mindset

Lace up a brand new mindset. Nike is taking its sporting gear from the playing field to the laboratory with the new Mind series, constructing a scientifically-tested footwear system that adds a network of foam nodes to the footbed for a uniquely stimulating sensation with every step.

The Mind 002 is the sneaker version of the new Mind series, debuting in a space-age grey colorway with orange nodes underfoot. The shape of the shoe takes on a traditional runner look, but with large columns making up the midsole area and a fully perforated, foam-like upper. The shoe features metallic silver Swooshes on the side panels and tongue, but the aesthetics of the shoe are definitely secondary to the tech.

Developed by the new NIKE, Inc. Sport Offense, an innovation and design team that spans Nike, Jordan, and Converse, the 22 foam nodes beneath the Mind series shoes are made to move with your foot, activating key sensory areas of the brain, refocusing your thoughts on every step, and letting you feel the exact surface of the ground beneath your feet.
