Nike Adds Solar Red Colorway to Mind 001 Recovery Slide Rollout

If it’s good enough for A’ja Wilson, it’s good enough for us. Nike’s sporting innovation has always expanded beyond the actual game to training, rest, and recovery. The latest innovation for post-workout rehabilitation is the space-age Mind 001 slip-on. After seeing images of the debut colorway in grey, the Swoosh is back with a bright Solar Red slide first previewed by WNBA GOAT A’ja Wilson in the pre-game tunnel at this month’s Finals.

The Nike Mind 001 Solar Red sticks to the monochrome upper theme we saw on the first grey pair, drenching the bulbous slip-on in bright red from the footbed to the upper. The red is contrasted with a handful of silver Swooshes on the vamp and lateral side panels. Just like the grey pair, the nubs that sit underfoot to activate pressure points are colored in orange, and the footbed features “Nike Mind” and “Mind Science Department” branding.

Nike has created R&R versions of popular shoes for years now, but 2025 saw Beaverton embrace rehabilitation like never before. Most notably, they dropped a $900 recovery boot in collaboration with Hyperice. For the more budget-minded, Nike found success with the ReactX Rejuven8 line of slides and clogs. Keeping the clog shape for the Mind 001, we could definitely see this one taking off with athletes and non-athletes alike.
