Slip your foot into a new attitude. That’s the premise of Nike’s new Mind line of brain-altering recovery shoes, and the Beaverton brand is going all out on the cerebral sneaker push. Debuting the node-soled Mind line in a slip-on clog and lace-up runner-style sneaker, the molded foam design is expanding its color palette into khaki.
The Nike Mind 002 Light Khaki is the latest colorway of the mind control sneaker, designed to realign the mental focus of the athletes who wear them. The fully perforated shoe features a monochrome tan color scheme down to the laces and eyelets, with the only contrast added by metallic silver Swooshes on the side panels and tongue. Following early colorways of the shoe in red, black, and grey monochromes, the tan colorway is a nice earth tone addition to the lineup.

Like the rest of the Nike Mind line, the star of the show on the Light Khaki pair is the 22 orange nodes built into the outsole that press up against specific points of the foot. Because the nodes are able to move individually, the shoe is designed to transfer the feeling of the ground underfoot to the sole, drawing the attention of the mind to every step and refocusing the brain.
