The World Cup is finally here. After months of anticipation and sneaker releases geared at getting fans into the spirit of the global tournament, teams and fans are finally arriving in cities across the US, Mexico, and Canada. Seven specific national teams have also been seen recently stepping out in Nike’s new X2 Football collab series, making this year’s Cup that much more special for Nigerian artist Slawn.
The Slawn x Nike Cryoshot Striker 1976 takes the street-ready retro soccer cleat to its beginnings, breaking out one of Nike’s first soccer cleat silhouettes. While most collab brands chose iconic cleats from the late ‘90s or early 2000s, Slawn’s Striker 1976 brings an old-school vibe to the X2 collection with a cream base and black marker covering the upper.

Fitting Slawn’s instantly recognizable graffiti-inspired handstyles and drawings on a cream pair of Striker 1976, the two-tone pairing jumps with a mix of sharp and looping lines. Of course, face graphics drawn on the tongue label and toebox add Slawn’s signature look. Underfoot, the cleats from the 1976 OG remain, but are encased in a blue-tinted transparent shell for the stands instead of the pitch.
The Slawn x Nike Cryoshot Striker 1976 will be released through Slawn and the Nigerian Football Federation’s official store on June 11, 2026, at Dover Street Market on June 13, 2026, and through Nike SNKRS and select retailers on June 16, 2026. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210. To keep up with all the latest Nike World Cup sneaker news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
