Originally released as a performance running model in 1997, the silhouette has become a cult classic amongst sneakerheads and those from this era. Its design has inspired various models over the years and has even helped influence Travis Scott’s signature sneaker with Nike Sportswear, the Nike Zoom Field Jaxx. On the eve of the OG colorway returning for the first time since 2016, images of a Black Metallic Silver pair have found their way online.
Across the design, we see a black finish applied to most of the upper, including the mudguard that wraps back to the heel and the wide-space,d breathable mesh. Separating these two panels and separating the middle of the sneaker from the top half are 3M-laden metallic silver leather strips, contrasting the dull metallic silver on the midfoot Swoosh. Pops of red land on the mini embroidered Swoosh on the toe and the Swoosh is embroidered into the mesh tongue. The final pop of red comes from the Zoom Air branding on the insole.

Other OG details include the nylon lace loops extending below the mesh, helping with structure and lockdown, and the nylon pull tab featuring 3M piping down the spine. The molded Spiridon midsole finishes the look, featuring a slightly speckled glitter finish and hosting Zoom Air cushioning within, paired with the black and clear Spiridon outsole.
The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Black Metallic Silver will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
