Earlier this year, Nike revived the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2, the model made famous with its association with tennis legend Andre Agassi, in the Hot Lava colorway. While we already know that there will be another Air Tech Challenge 2 retro in 2025, that being the Racer Pink in January, Nike announced the release of the Stone Blue colorway for Summer 2025 during its recent SNKRS Showcase.
Coming nearly identical to the version released in 2014, Nike does add some vintage details akin to how they retro’d the Hot Lava colorway. A white finish is applied to the upper, spanning the smooth and perforated leather and the corduroy tongue. Blue details line the leather along the edge of the upper and around the heel, while the “lava” print applies in a two-tone white and blue near the heel and forefoot.
Along the Swoosh, we see a pop of orange, matching the shade found on the Nike branding of the blue tongue tag and the tongue lining. Other details that contrast the white upper are the support wings attached to the collar, which have a light blue finish. Underfoot sits a white and cream midsole featuring an exposed Air unit in the heel paired with a grey and orange rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Stone Blue will release in Summer 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
