Andre Agassi's playing days saw him lace up Nike silhouettes, with the tennis legend getting his signature series of tennis shoes in the '90s. Of all his sneakers, the Air Tech Challenge 2 shines the brightest, with the sneaker helping inspire another legendary sneaker in Nike's catalog, the Air Yeezy 2, with its sole unit derived from the Air Tech Challenge 2. While we are around the corner from getting our first retro of the OG Hot Lava colorway since 2016, 2025 will see the release of another OG rendition with some aged details, the Racer Pink rendition.
The upcoming Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Racer Pink sticks to its roots with a multi-layered upper featuring white and grey hues. The design utilizes a mix of tumbled leather on the grey midfoot and collar panels, while smooth leather covers the toe and midfoot base. The racer pink accents pop on the Swoosh, TPU eyelets, and the signature gradient splatter pattern graces the toe and heel areas. Cream details found on the lower eyelets and parts of the midsole add a touch of vintage flair, further emphasizing the sneaker's retro vibe. The look is completed with a grey and white midsole and a tonal rubber outsole that ties everything together.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Racer Pink will release on January 16, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
