The Nike Goadome Boot, always a staple in cities like Washington DC, has been having a renaissance lately. Featured in collabs with DC rapper and celebrity sneakerhead Wale and another with the rapper Yeat, the Air Max boot is definitely having a moment. Looking to capitalize on the collab-driven hype, Nike is bringing the boot out in a handful of eye-popping new colorways, including two inspired by the barnyard.
Releasing alongside a cow print colorway, the Nike Air Max Goadome Black Pony Hair is the second animal-inspired colorway of the boot dropping in December. Blacked out across the entire shoe except for the see-through Air Max units and the white Swooshes on the tongue and lateral side panel, the boot is combed with a full mane of pony hair across the entire upper, flowing lavishly across every inch. We’re assuming that the faux horse hair isn’t nearly as weather-resistant as traditional versions of the boot, but that’s not the first time fashion has won out over function.

Once known as a shoe for security guards and comfortable winter stomping, the Goadome’s recent collab revival is reminding sneakerheads of the classic 2009 Wale song named after the boots and bringing it back for the winter rotation.
The Nike Air Max Goadome Black Pony Hair will be released December 11, 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230. To stay up with all the latest Nike news and drops, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
