As we wait for signature sneakers from new-era superstars like Cade Cunningham and Caitlin Clark, Nike is always keeping one eye on the past, and it’s safe to say The Swoosh struck gold with Deion Sanders. After splitting his talents between the NFL and MLB in his playing days, Prime Time is still in the spotlight as the head coach at the NCAA level, giving Nike plenty of runway to retro and refresh his Diamond Turf signature line.
Deion’s Diamond Turf Addition
Beyond the most iconic Diamond Turf models from Deion’s playing days, Nike added a new silhouette to the line based on a prototype from a 1992 design. The Nike Air DT Proto 92 debuted last year in two 49ers-friendly colorways, and keeping things consistent, the latest preview from Deion shows more red and gold, this time in shiny patent leather.
