Although we’ll have to wait some time before we get the next major update to the Nike GT Cut silhouette, Nike has finally released the GT Cut 3 Turbo, a new version of the sneaker with updated materials and slight tweaks to the performance. Plenty of NBA and WNBA players have been rocking the sneaker, some even getting their own PE colorways later in the year, like Rob Dillingham and Jrue Holiday. However, Reed Sheppard will be the first NBA player to have their pair released.
The third overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Reed Sheppard, had a solid impact on the Rockets as he played well coming off the bench throughout most of the season. His first player-exclusive sneaker release sees the GT Cut 3 Turbo coated in a violet-shaded color palette and black speckle paint details across most of the upper. The striations on the midfoot panel run back toward a tonal mesh panel and a contrasting Swoosh in bright crimson that matches one of the Swoosh logos on the tongue.
