Although Nike’s venture in the web3 space started with RTFKT, which has now shuttered its doors, they’re continuing this journey with their in-house .SWOOSH label. Outside of the collectible NFTs and Fortnite Kicks, SWOOSH also has had its hand in producing IRL products like the Low Poly Air Max 1. Now, following an official look at the Donkey Kong-inspired colorway of .SWOOSH’s AM1, Nike designer and .SWOOSH team member Bryce Wong has shared images of a Tomb Raider-inspired colorway.
Lara Croft's appearance in the original 1996 Tomb Raider video game, particularly her tank top, inspires the sneaker's color palette. This blue-ish color appears on the low polygon-inspired mudguard and Swoosh. A pixelated graphic pattern is printed atop the vamp, midfoot panel, and heel overlay, which come in neutral grey, while the pattern extends onto the mesh toebox. More low-poly inspiration is found on the TPU eyelets and Nike branding atop the tongue and will likely be found on the heel tab.
