.SWOOSH, Nike's venture into the web3 space, has been an exciting one to follow. They have created unique virtual experiences that resulted in IRL (in real life) products. After a duo of 404 Error-themed Air Force 1s and a TINAJ B pair on the way, .SWOOSH has joined forces with Kai Cenat to unveil the Air Max 1 Low Poly.
As seen in Max's Lab on their website, the Nike Air Max 1 Low Poly is inspired by a blurry rendering as a result of a low poly count. As many 3D renderings are done in polygons, that practice is front and center on this pair. At first glance, you get an old-school vibe akin to retro gaming. So, .SWOOSH took that dream and made it a reality, converting this concept into something you can wear in the real world and the virtual space. Coming in the OG Red Air Max 1 styling of white, university red, and neutral grey, this pair sports classic colorblocking. A white-based upper is accented by grey and red, finished off by visible Max Air cushioning in the heel and a solid rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Low Poly releases via preorder on October 8, 2024, exclusively for .SWOOSH members with pairs shipping out approximately 120 days later. Coming in men’s sizing (3.5-18), the retail price is set at $150.
