Some sneaker collaborations come and go, but others grow to define models, colorways, and eras. Tiffany blue shoes will always evoke the Diamond Dunk, you can’t talk sail colorways without bringing up Off-White Jordan 4s, and when it comes to Air Max 1s, nothing defines the Tinker-designed model more than collaborations with San Francisco skate brand Huf.

Nike Air Max 1 Green Strike
The Nike Air Max 1 Green Strike isn’t a true Huf collaboration or even a retro, but with a black sole and upper broken up by hits of neon green on the Swoosh, top lace loops, and tongue logos, it’s hard not to think back to the iconic Hufquake colorway AM1 from 2007. The new version mixes blacked-out leather, suede, and mesh panels across the upper, with a black sole broken up by more neon green in the heel air bubble.
Huf, the San Francisco retail boutique-turned streetwear behemoth started by the late great pro skater Keith Hufnagel, has been a frequent Nike collaborator, dropping grail sneakers in multiple eras. In the early days of the SF store, Huf added earthquake cracks to the aforementioned Air Max 1, an Air Max 90, and two colorways of the Air Force 1 to create the original Hufquake pack. The brand also designed one of the most sought-after SB Dunks in history, a hippie-themed high top. The Huf x Nike story continued after Hufnagel’s untimely death, bringing out three Air Max 1 colorways to celebrate the original store’s logo, and a pack of Dunk SBs that paid tribute to Hufnagel’s bicoastal life in NYC and SF. If you missed out on the original Hufquake Air Max 1s in ‘07, this pair is a nice consolation prize.
The Nike Air Max 1 Green Strike will be released in Fall 2025 through select Nike retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
