Faux fur and animal prints have found their way back into the sneaker zeitgeist, and even though adidas has been leading the charge on this front, Nike has prepped a few different releases in this category. After looking at a Sail Fur colorway of the Air Force 1 Low, images of a Black Fur rendition of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic AF1 emerged.
Directly mirroring the aforementioned Sail Fur rendition, this Black Fur variant coats the entire upper of the AF1 with black faux pony fur. This includes the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, vamp, Swoosh, midfoot panel, and heel overlay. The tongue breaks from this material but opts for black suede on its base and the Nike Air-branded patch near the top.
Tonal black laces and a black AF1-branded lace dubrae help the shoe remain monochromatic. Final details include a black suede heel tab with debossed Nike Air text, a black rubber midsole with AIR text on the heel, and a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Black Fur W will release in Japan on June 14, 2025, with a global release through Nike and select retailers online and in-store coming later. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price has not been confirmed.
