Nike is getting ahead of the NBA All-Star festivities regarding footwear releases. Typically, the brand will drop sneakers themed around the week of the star-studded event in February. However, as seen with the recent KD 17 All-Star, they plan to drop some sneakers in mid-January. Adding to the January drops for All-Star Weekend is an Air Force 1 Low release.
The silhouette showcases a split design, combining black hues on the toe, mudguard, eyestays, and midfoot with liquid metal-like metallic silver accents on the Swoosh and heel portions. However, when hit with a flash, the mudguard and eyestays give off a reflective pattern representing the foggy weather associated with San Francisco, the host of this year’s NBA All-Star festivities. Nods to the event are found on the lace dubrae, with a custom metal star logo added to the waxed black lace set.
Nike branding also applies to the woven tongue label and heel tab, the latter plastered in large black letters that stand out compared to your typical Nike Air Force 1. Finishing the design is the blacked-out midsole and outsole combo.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low All-Star will release on January 16, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
