The Nike Mind collection has been growing like a brain. From its infancy in monochrome foam with orange nodes underneath, the pair grew up to switch shades on the nodes, then added Flyknit, some two-tone colorways, and a bit of top-to-bottom gradient. Now, the latest Mind 002 pair expands the color makeup of the mind-controlling shoes even further, adding a strip of bright multi-color gradient on the border around the lace panel.
Brain Waves in Technicolor
The Nike Mind 002 AMP Black Indigo Burst is the most intricately detailed colorway from the Mind Collection yet. Starting with a one-piece black perforated upper and columned midsole, the upper features a bit of red behind the black, peaking through the perforations. Beyond the black upper, the silver metallic Swooshes are also standard, like past Mind pairs.
From there, though, the pair mixes in as much color as possible. Moving around the space between the upper and the tongue, a thin strip of gradient color starts with purple at the heel and evolves to pinkish red as it circles the vamp and heads back to purple. On the node-covered outsole, the bumpers at the toe and heel are blue, but the nodes themselves are red.
