Nike KD 12 Shoes
The Nike KD 12 is the twelfth iteration of Kevin Durant's signature line. Released in 2019, it features a mid-cut design, a combination of Flyknit and Quad Axial Flywire for a lightweight and secure fit, and Zoom Air cushioning for optimal responsiveness. With its futuristic look and Durant's exceptional skills, the KD 12 stood out on and off the court.
Unveiled in 2019, the Nike KD 12 marked a significant shift in the design philosophy of Kevin Durant’s signature line. For the first time in the series, the traditional midsole was eliminated, allowing the full-length Zoom Air unit to be stitched directly to the upper. This move was intended to give players the feeling of bouncing directly on the Zoom bag and drastically increase responsiveness.
The KD 12 debuted in the 'The Day One' colorway, an homage to Durant's basketball journey. It quickly expanded into a plethora of colorways, including the striking '90s Kid', the vibrant 'University Red', and the player exclusive 'YouTube', representing Durant's love for the video-sharing platform.
Worn by Durant during his brief but significant tenure with the Brooklyn Nets, the KD 12 showcases his evolution as a player and his integration into a new team dynamic. The shoe's innovative design encapsulates Durant's continued influence on basketball, despite his Achilles injury.
The Nike KD 12 originally retailed for $150. Resale prices vary significantly based on colorway and condition.
