The most famous garden in New York City isn’t green. Madison Square Garden finally gets to put another banner in the rafters after becoming the center of the universe during the Knicks’ championship run. Before Jalen and KAT got fitted for jewelry, though, Ja Morant showed up at The Garden wearing a green pair of Nike Ja 3s with some leafy local references.
The Nike Ja 3 Welcome to the Garden is a shoutout to the NYC Parks Department’s iconic sycamore leaf logo, with a hint of MSG reverence in the name. First hitting the court on Morant’s feet while he was still with the Memphis Grizzlies, the pair was expected to be a PE made strictly for Ja, but with a new home in foliage-friendly Oregon, the pair hit retail out of nowhere.

Featuring a green armored mesh base in the same green shade as NYC’s park signs and public trashcans, the jagged JA monogram overlay support panels switch to black for a two-tone mix back and forth across the upper. For some extra big city energy, the JA logo made from the vertical Swoosh and side panel support adds a graffiti style to the “A.” Sadly, the sycamore leaf logo on Ja’s PE pair is missing from the final retail version.
The Nike Ja 3 Welcome to the Garden PE was released today, July 15, 2026, through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $135. For all the latest NBA signature sneaker news, make sure to download the Sole Retriever App.
