Nike Adds NYC Parks Department Leafy Green for Welcome to the Garden Ja 3 PE

Ja Morant is still under the microscope as Memphis tries to figure out how to turn the early season around, but you can’t say the star point guard isn’t fresh. And in another effort to get ahead of the leakers, Morant took to IG to post another new colorway of his Nike Ja 3 signature sneaker prior to last night’s game against the New York Knicks, where he brought NYC playground vibes to the MSG hardwood.

The Nike Ja 3 Welcome to the Garden PE starts with a green engineered mesh upper with black jagged JA monogram TPU structural panels stretching over it. The JA logo, spelled with the lateral side Swoosh, is done in a white graffiti font above a hit in the middle of the midsole with the NY Parks Department leaf logo that’s on the fence of every public basketball court in the Big Apple.

Ja laced up the green NYC PE against the Knicks on Tuesday, but like most of the early season, the Grizzlies came up short, with Morant adding 16 points on 4-14 shooting. Morant’s future in Memphis might be up in the air, but his status with sneakerheads is still at an all-star level. This pair also wasn’t the only sneaker to debut at the Garden, as Kith’s Ronnie Fieg sat courtside in the upcoming Kith x Nike Air Max 95.
