Even though Nike Basketball is headed in a new direction, as evidenced by the upcoming Nike GT Future and GT Cut 4, the silhouettes of the 2000s will always hold a special place in our hearts. We already know that Nike will be bringing back the Zoom Huarache 2K4 in the All-Star colorway famously worn by Kobe Bryant ahead of his signature line’s debut in 2006. However, Sole Retriever can report that the OT Black colorway will also be hitting shelves in Summer 2026.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Zoom Huarache 2K4, we’ll provide a quick rundown on the sneaker. It was originally released in 2004 and designed by Eric Avar, who you may know for his work on the Flightposite, Zoom Flight 95, and most of the Nike Kobe line. Bryant would be the unofficial face of the line in ‘04. Avar took inspiration from the Air Flight Huarache (which he also designed) and the Air Force 1 to create a modern basketball sneaker with retro influences.
Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 OT Black
As for this OT Black colorway, there’s not much information online about the pair, though we know it was part of the model’s original run in 2004. The pair is coated entirely in a single black shade, with the materials and textures of the leather, suede, TPU, and neoprene providing contrast. Black suede hits the toe and heel, while the neoprene bootie is encased within the leather overlay. Finishing the sneaker is the black Phylon midsole featuring Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel.
The Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 OT Black will be released Summer 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
