Even though Nike Basketball is headed in a new direction, as evidenced by the upcoming Nike GT Future and GT Cut 4, the silhouettes of the 2000s will always hold a special place in our hearts. We already know that Nike will be bringing back the Zoom Huarache 2K4 in the All-Star colorway famously worn by Kobe Bryant ahead of his signature line’s debut in 2006. However, Sole Retriever can report that the OT Black colorway will also be hitting shelves in Summer 2026.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Zoom Huarache 2K4, we’ll provide a quick rundown on the sneaker. It was originally released in 2004 and designed by Eric Avar, who you may know for his work on the Flightposite, Zoom Flight 95, and most of the Nike Kobe line. Bryant would be the unofficial face of the line in ‘04. Avar took inspiration from the Air Flight Huarache (which he also designed) and the Air Force 1 to create a modern basketball sneaker with retro influences.
