Jordan Release Calendar

New Balance has been spreading its wings into the pro sports landscape, signing superstars on the gridiron like Josh Allen and on the baseball diamond like Shohei Ohtani. But when it comes to the pop culture power of athletes, basketball players still reign supreme. From Kawhi Leonard to rookie Cooper Flagg, and the brand’s latest signature star, Tyrese Maxey, New Balance Basketball is making waves at every level of the game. New Balance’s latest basketball silhouette continues that push into the sport with a solid mix of performance and aesthetic appeal.
The New Balance P400 debuted on the runways of Paris instead of the hardwood, with a Junya Watanabe collab preview in all black. Now, we’ve got a closer look at the shoe in a Black Inkwell inline colorway that mixes blue, black, and white for a sleek design full of movement. The colorway features a tight armored checkerboard pattern across the entire upper, with a black-on-black toe that evolves into a black-and-white mix across the side panels. Blue accents are added to the side panel “N” logo, lace panel, and heel, plus the stabilizing block built into the middle of the midsole.

A white mesh and grey reflective two-tone is added to the tongue for some classic New Balance energy, with creamy off-white laces bringing it all together. Not much is known about the construction of the new silhouette just yet, apart from the presence of Fresh FoamX cushion technology.
The New Balance P400 Black Inkwell will be released February 11, 2026 through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $130. For all the latest New Balance Basketball news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
