When New Balance created the Numeric skate line, they didn’t half-ass it. The brand established a completely separate home office in Southern California for the skate label, sponsored some of the industry’s best skaters, and developed pro shoes for the likes of Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Foy, Tiago Lemos, and more. So when it comes to collaborations, NB Numeric keeps it in the skate industry, starting with independent local skate shops.
The latest New Balance Numeric collab teams up with Austin, Texas skate shop No-Comply on a pair of 480s designed to replicate the look of the store itself. Covering the upper with soft premium leather and a suede toe in the exact shade of green that adorns the walls, the insoles are printed with the same art that hangs in the No-Comply dressing room. The gold stitching on the midsole is a shoutout to the wood paneling on the counters and board wall, while the midsole represents the steel support beams, and the red color on the tongue perfectly matches the floors.
Skate shops are what hold local skate communities together, acting as both retail shops and gathering spaces to talk shit, watch new skate videos, and meet before sessions. Bringing the entire theme of the shop and the shoe together, No-Comply brought together a mix of local rippers and New Balance pros like Jordan Trahan and Jack Curtin for a commercial showing the shoe on-foot in footage from Austin, Boston, New Orleans, and more.
The No-Comply x New Balance Numeric 480 will be released at select skate shops nationwide today, October 31, 2025, with a wide release through New Balance on November 3, 2025. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $115. For all the latest New Balance collab news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
