Cooper Flagg Gets a New Balance Hesi Low v2 PE Colorway to Start his Rookie Season

The Cooper Flagg hype is real. The number one pick in this year’s draft was turning heads in high school, kept them rubbernecking at Duke, and is already looking plenty comfortable in his early pre-season NBA reps. As Flagg gets set to play his first regular-season NBA game next week, the phenom will hit the floor in a new pair of PEs from his shoe sponsor, New Balance.

Putting his spin on the New Balance Hesi Low v2, Flagg’s first PE is a love letter to his home state, bringing in shades of dark and light green to reference the northern foliage that he was raised around. Starting with a grey mesh base, the colorway features cream hits on the laces and the midsole, and then adds color with a fir green lace support panel at the ankle and outsole, plus mint green on the midsole heel support swoop. To introduce the shoe, New Balance dropped an ad featuring Flagg in the garage at his family home in Newport, Maine, pulling shoe boxes out of an SUV trunk and lounging in a folding chair.

“I’m taking the next step in my career, but I’m always going to be a product of my hometown in Maine,” says New Balance Athlete Cooper Flagg. “Working with the New Balance design team on this has been really cool and it allows me to take a piece of Newport with me as I step onto the court for my first official NBA game.”

The Cooper Flagg x New Balance Hesi Low v2 will be released October 22, 2025, the same day Flagg makes his NBA debut, through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online.
