Jordan Release Calendar

If you thought the sneaker industry couldn’t get deeper into its Y2K early 2000s era bag, think again. Taking hints from tribal tattoos, early cyber art, and a new tattoo style, New Balance’s latest remix of the ABZORB 2000 features a liquid metal design on the upper that looks straight out of the Blade franchise, and a new colorway in monochrome silver looks as sharp as possible.
The New Balance ABZORB 2000 Liquid Metal Metallic Silver features a one-piece base of grey mesh covering the entire upper, with thick, chunky but sleek textured structural panels with sharp swooping designs coming to points across the toe, lace, and side panels. The dark grey side panel “N” logo also gets a sharp redesign, with points reaching out on either side.

Beyond the graphic style of your favorite alt-rock band’s album cover, the shoe’s focus lies underfoot, with a full foot of individual ABZORB pods in silver, surrounded by a grey midsole structure to complete the multi-tone grey and silver mix. This is the second colorway of the ABZORB 2000 Liquid Metal we’ve seen so far, after a matching triple-black monochrome.
The New Balance ABZORB 2000 Liquid Metal Metallic Silver will be released January 14, 2026 through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For all the latest New Balance news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
