The ABZORB 2000 is here to stay. The new mesh and synthetic runner has been flying off the shelves all year, and the colorways continue to get better. The latest, a clean cream and white rendition, arrives hot on the heels of two light blue colorways, a pale pink pair, and a performatively male matcha pair in collaboration with Amine. If you’re looking for a light-colored lifestyle runner before the year is out, New Balance is stacking the deck with 2000s, but you'd better move quickly
Light cream mesh and synthetic panels cover the monochrome upper down to the N logo and laces like fresh linen sheets. The five visible ABZORB SBS pods that make up the majority of the midsole take on a slightly darker tan tone, and the outsole is black for the only hint of true contrast.

The dad shoe trend has been here for damn near a decade now, but it’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. Bulky running shoes once made for mowing lawns and high school track meets are still inescapable, and brands like New Balance are building beyond tried-and-true lines like the 99X series with new silhouettes like the 2000, reimagining what the ABZORB technology would look like today if the brand had not moved past it.
The New Balance ABZORB 2000 Cream will be released sometime before the end of 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
