DTLR’s Latest Exclusive New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Releases in September

While New Balance traditionally sticks to earthy and sophisticated color palettes for its inline Made in USA collection, which is helmed by Aime Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis, outside partners often inject vibrant color palettes to the 99X series. Arguably the best at this is DTLR, the DMV-based retailer that drops an exclusive NB release at least once per season. Following up on DTLR’s kids’ exclusive New Balance 530 for back-to-school season, they’ve prepped a men’s only release on the 990v6.

For now, we only have a teaser posted by DTLR’s design director, June Saunders, which showcases a hand-drawn 990v6. The pair comes primarily clad in white, grey, and black hues with pops of volt green found along the midfoot N logo, TPU eyelet, and tongue. More color is found on the lace set and heel tab, which is covered in yellow, while blue details appear on the midfoot overlay, piping of the 990 logo on the lateral heel, and on portions of the tongue and eyelets. Down below sits a white, black, and grey foam midsole with FuelCell cushioning and a black and red rubber outsole.

DTLR has been teaming up with New Balance to release exclusive colorways across NB’s lineup for years now. In 2025, the duo worked on the aforementioned kids’ exclusive New Balance 530 and at the start of the year dropped the 1906R Moon Sign. The two launched five exclusive sneakers in 2024, including the 1906R Starry Nights, 2002R Purple Noir, kids’ exclusive 990v6 Gelato, and the 9060 in Cyan Burst.

The DTLR Exclusive New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Cornerstone will release September 26, 2025, through DTLR online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
