There’s something about New Balance suede runners and autumnal colors. From dark browns to forest greens, and leaf-changing reds, oranges, and yellows, the classic blend of premium suede and mesh on New Balance 99x models is perfect for crunching foliage underfoot on weather-changing walks. The latest fall-ready New Balance colorway channels dried fruit for a yellow suede Made in USA 997.
Under the direction of New Balance Made in USA Creative Director Teddy Santis, the New Balance Made in USA 997 Dried Apricot Calcium is a study in pale yellow, starting with a goldenrod suede on the toe, side panels, and heel, with the same color on the side panel “N” logo in front of a white background. The toebox mesh is a creamy off-white, while the vamp, tongue, and upper heel get more suede, this time in a hairier texture and lighter yellow hue that splits the difference between the rest of the suede and the mesh.

The 997 doesn’t carry as much clout or hype as the 990, 991, or 993, but the legacy New Balance model still has superfans and its place in the Made in USA lineup. We first saw this pair in Santis’ Fall/Winter 2025 Made in USA preview, and besides the locally made inline pairs, we’ve seen collab 997s this year from Kith and late last year from Santis’ ALD.
The New Balance Made in USA 997 Dried Apricot Calcium will be released November 13, 2025 through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180. To keep up with all the latest New Balance releases, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
