New Balance can make as many performance basketball silhouettes, baseball cleats, and skate shoes as they want, but there’s still nothing better than a classic pair of suede and mesh 990s. As the Boston-based brand gets set to debut the 990v7, the 990v4 has emerged as a retro favorite, joining Teddy Santis’ latest Made in USA collection in a few clean colorways.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA NB Navy is the latest pair from the domestic label’s new season of drops, combining navy blue suede and mesh with perforated overlays in olive green. The tongue and heel tab add more green to match the laces and outsole, while the “N” logo adds a pop of white for some contrast, matching the white flag tongue tag. Last but not least, a dusty purple midsole is added to complete the look.

Beyond the blue pair, the Fall/Winter Made in USA collection already dropped a monochrome violet suede pair of the 990v4, with a matching two-tone mix of burgundy and brown on another colorway dropping the same day as the navy pair. The rest of the seasonal collection focuses on the 992 and 993 for a complete 99X series takeover for the second half of the year.
The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA NB Navy will be released September 24, 2026, through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $195. For all the latest New Balance Made in USA news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
