Ascending past the “dad shoe” label many have given New Balance, the Boston-based footwear brand has made many new fans over the last year. On top of reviving silhouettes like the New Balance 550 or 2002R and collaborative efforts with Joe Freshgoods and Teddy Santis’ Aime Leon Dore, the in-house design team at NB crafted an all-new model for 2022 - the New Balance 9060. Since its inception, the silhouette has become a favorite amongst the NB crowd and now has appeared in a clean “Cream Brown” colorway.
For this latest New Balance 9060, the model swaps out its usual mesh for a honeycomb-like pattern on its base layer and all-leather overlays that come in a creamy hue. The same paneling is applied with stacked leather overlays on the toebox, midfoot, and heel that connect near the midfoot’s “N” branding. Alongside the model’s creamy hits are chocolate brown hues found on lines near the toe and heel, the “N” logo, sockliner, and other NB branding details near the tongue. Tonal laces match the mesh tongue and leather overlays, while we see a first for the NB 9060 - additional branding that spells out “New Balance” on the lateral heel overlay. Rounding out the design is the chunky midsole that comes in a single creamy hue paired with a rubber outsole in a slightly different shade of cream.
The New Balance 9060 Cream Brown will be released in 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Retailing for $150, the pair will be available in men’s sizing.
