Some Air Jordan 3s aren't immediate hits. Take, for example, the Air Jordan 3 Retro Mocha from October 2001. Pairs could be copped on sale for as low as $20 at select retailers, as the new Retro+ colorway did not receive immediate praise from sneakerheads.
As time passed, the pair became sought after, even though it still received a mixed reaction from critics. Seventeen years later, the Air Jordan 3 Retro Mocha returned and had a much better retail release than its predecessor. In 2022, we get a new take on this modern-day colorway, in the form of the ice cream-themed Neapolitan edition.
