Michael Jordan made a shocking career switch in 1994, leaving the NBA to pursue a career in professional baseball. His stats on the diamond were respectable for someone who made a switch so late in their career, but it wasn’t going to cut it in the majors, and once the MLB players strike took place in 1995, MJ returned to the Chicago Bulls. A few months after returning to basketball, Jordan took a stab at acting and filmed the beloved classic Space Jam. To celebrate the movie’s 30th birthday in 2026, Jordan Brand has crafted a wide-ranging collection of sneakers and apparel that now includes a pair of Air Jordan 11 baseball cleats.
Looking like something Jordan could have worn in the first act of the film, where he was shown still playing baseball, the Air Jordan 11 Retro MCS Cleat Space Jam features an all-over lapis leather upper. And while it looks similar to last year’s Air Jordan 11 Mojave, the purple shade and material switch-up differentiate it slightly. Black laces contrast the purple upper, while a tonal Jumpman logo sits on the lateral heel. More purple branding is found on the black heel tab, with MJ’s number “23” cast in a lapis hue. Finishing the shoe is the black midsole and purple cleated outsole.
As mentioned before, Jordan Brand has created a number of Air Jordan sneakers and matching apparel to celebrate Space Jam’s 30th anniversary. So far, we’ve seen plenty of Air Jordan 1 Low and Mid special editions, including pairs featuring Bugs and Lola Bunny, Spike Lee Jordans inspired by the old Space Jam website, and two new Air Jordan 11 colorways, one inspired by the magic ball in the film and another inspired by the green screen actors.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro MCS Cleat Space Jam will be released November 5, 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
