Although Jordan Brand and sneakerheads are focusing on the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High 85 Bred release, we can still expect to see a variety of new releases from the Air Jordan line ahead of the highly-coveted sneaker. Sole Retriever previously reported that the Air Jordan 40 is well in the works and is expected to debut in the Fall 2025 season, but before that can take place, new Air Jordan 39s will hit shelves. Included in this is a gym red-covered variant dubbed Heritage.
Constructed out of leather and engineered mesh, most of this Air Jordan 39 takes on a gym red finish, with pops of white found on select details. A leather toebox overlay extends onto the lower half of the eyelets, reinforcing the toe, while an embroidered pattern across the upper blends into the mesh. To create this unique pattern, Jordan Brand painted an Air Jordan 29 and then repeatedly recreated MJ’s cross-step move until the paint cracked. The pattern was then scanned and applied to the upper of the Air Jordan 39.
