Spikes Lee: Jordan Spizike Gets the Golf Treatment in OG White, Green, and Red

Oscar-winning filmmaker and Brooklyn legend Spike Lee is known for his sports obsession, but that usually takes him to his courtside seats at Madison Square Garden, not the front 9 at Torrey Pines. But when you get into the shoe game with Michael Jordan, you’ve got to accept that there’s gonna be some golf involved.

Spike Lee’s hybrid Jordan Spizike is the latest Jumpman model to be retooled for the golf course, adding removable golf softspikes underfoot on top of a low-top silhouette for a tee-box-ready design. After debuting in a white, black, and grey elephant print colorway on New Year’s Day, the latest Spizike G uses the same color scheme as the OG Spizike in white leather with red and grey elephant print accents on the toe and heel, and green accents on the outsole and sockliner.

Nike and Jordan have done wonders to bring the golf game under the streetwear and sneakerhead umbrella, creating remixed silhouettes of classic numbered Jordans, Air Maxes, and more that have helped infuse the stuffy country club game with youth and culture.
