Jordan Brand has constantly toyed with the shape and construction of the Air Jordan 1 over the years since its first retro in 1994. Fans of the model are (mostly) happy with the new ‘85 versions of both the high and low-top variants, but the Retro Low OG's shape is about to transform for all releases in the future. We first saw this updated shape when images of the Quai54 colorway appeared last month, but now images of the women’s exclusive Washed Teal color have appeared.
Key differences between the old and new shapes are found in the Swoosh and the eyelets, the latter gaining an extra punch-out to give you eight holes for lacing options. The Swoosh logo gains some size, though not as large as it was during its mid-2010s run. As for the color scheme, the upper comes coated in a washed teal hue similar to the overlays used on the Turbo Green AJ 1 High from 2019.
