With 2025 being the 40th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, the year should be full of celebrations. Even with the downturn in demand for the model and the subsequent cutting of production/styles of GR colorways, Jordan Brand has big plans that include an ‘85 rendition of the Bred colorway, the proper release and rollout of the Black Toe Reimagined, a UNC Reimagined, and a reprisal of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High design from 2018. Fresh off the release of the Chicago Shadow Union AJ 1, images of a fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High have appeared.
Previously, fragment had its hands in producing two of the most coveted Air Jordan 1 High collabs, one by themselves in 2014 and the other in collaboration with Travis Scott in 2021. This second three-way collab on the Air Jordan 1 is expected to be just as, if not more, in demand than the previous pairs. Union's DIY-inspired motifs remain present, including the extra stitching around the collar, the split-colored tongue, and the exposed foam. Still, the color scheme follows the original fragment design x Air Jordan 1 to a T.
